Mayor Tim Overall - 2008 to 2021

Cr Tim Overall was elected Mayor of Queanbeyan in the September 2008 Local Government elections.

Tim Overall was born in Adelaide and was first elected to Queanbeyan City Council in 2008.

He moved to Canberra in 1958 when his father Sir John Overall became Commissioner of the National Capital Development Commission
Graduated from ANU with a degree in Economics
He was drafted for National service in 1969 and served as 2nd Lieutenant Royal Australian Infantry
He was previously Managing Director Singapore Shipping Corporation, Chief Executive of the NSW Ambulance Service, Executive Director, Australian Red Cross, Canberra
Elected Councillor 2004, Mayor 2008 and 2012
Served as Chairman-Havelock Community Housing Inc, Chairman-Australian Technical College Queanbeyan & Region
He has lived in Queanbeyan since 1996
Was appointed Administrator of newly-merged Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council (QPRC) on 12 May 2016
Elected Councillor of first QPRC in 2017. Elected Mayor by Councillors in September 2017 and again in September 2019
