  • He was elected to the first committee in the Selectors Association in 1891
  • He became a licensed auctioneer in 1901
  • In 1904 he became a committee member of the first Liberal Party Reform Party in Queanbeyan
  • He accompanied the party of 36 members of both Houses of Parliament on an inspection of Canberra as the site of the National Capital
  • He died in September 1923
