Queanbeyan-Palerang Libraries received funding from the State Library of NSW to refurbish the interior of the Queanbeyan Library to create a welcoming and flexible space.
In order to carry out the work, Queanbeyan Library will be closed for two weeks from 2nd September, 2019 – 16th September, 2019.
During this time limited library services will be provided from the mobile library which will be located in the car park near the Library. You will be able to borrow and return items and we will endeavour to ensure access to a range of stock but may not be able to fulfil all requests in these two weeks.
Bungendore and Braidwood Libraries will continue to operate as normal. Queanbeyan Library users are welcome to use either of these Libraries.
Access to our extensive range of electronic resources, including e-books, e-audio and e-magazines will continue to be available during this time.
Regular library programs including Storytime, Toddler Time and Baby Bounce will be suspended for the two weeks.
The key components of the refurbishment are replacement of our shelving with new movable units, re-organisation of Library material, improved signage, a remodelled information desk and upgraded furnishings.
